Pulses & Poses
An Informed and Healthy Start to the Chinese New Year

Your Three Hours Journey Includes…

Emily will open our time together by introducing the dynamic energy of the Fire Horse year and what this means for the months ahead.
This will be followed by a gentle, nurturing yin yoga practice that travels through the seasons of the Chinese calendar. Each season connects to different organ systems and their corresponding energy meridians that flow through the body’s myofascial tissue. You’ll discover how specific yoga postures can revitalise these energy lines while releasing tension from areas that may be blocked or out of balance, all while tapping into your parasympathetic nervous system for deep relaxation and calm.

Here’s what makes this truly unique: Emily will offer each participant a personal 10-minute pulse reading. You’ll discover your Chinese astrology animal and, more importantly, gain insights into which of your internal energy systems may need attention.
This individual consultation is an invaluable opportunity to understand your own unique constitution according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll enjoy healthy refreshments

We’ll incorporate reflective journaling with guided questions to help you tune into areas of your health and wellbeing that need nurturing, along with practical, actionable ideas for bringing yourself back into balance. You’ll receive a comprehensive printed manual to take home, complete with the poses practised, and guidance on recognising when your elements are in or out of balance.
The session concludes with Emily sharing powerful acupressure techniques you can use at home to support your ongoing wellbeing.
About Emily
Meet Emily Fraser – BSc (Hons) Oriental Medicine & Acupuncture
We are so lucky to have Emily’s expertise for this immersion. Emily graduated in 2011 from the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM), the only college in the UK to teach the ‘Stems and Branches’ principles—providing her with a rare depth of knowledge in both classical and contemporary acupuncture.

Her Expertise:
• Women’s Health Specialist: 10 years as an affiliate of London’s renowned Zita West Clinic, supporting fertility, pregnancy, and menopause.
• Holistic Care: Expert in treating stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, and digestive issues.
• Pain Management: Extensive training in addressing chronic pain, migraines, and joint issues.
A proud member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), Emily relocated to East Devon to bring her integrative, heart-centered approach to our local community. Her ability to read the body’s “inner climate” through pulse diagnosis is the perfect bridge to our Yin Yoga practice.
